Pre-School Gymnastics

Under 3s Parent/Toddler
With parental support we develop the child’s ability to jump, swing, roll, climb, etc. The program gives children the opportunity to discover how to move their bodies in different ways. An Award Scheme is run to assist with the development of the basic skills.

By the age of three our pre-schoolers are at home in the gym and familiar with the coaches and able to participate in a class environment, allowing them to make a smooth transition into the next class.

3 to 5 years
This class is independent without parent/carer. The main focus of the three to five year old classes is always FUN. Children are taught the basic gymnastics skills on floor, beam, bars, vault and trampoline in a safe environment. The content of the session is rotated on a two week basis to ensure that the learning of the skills is consolidated.

All children experience success and are encouraged to try new skills. We run an Award Scheme to enable the parents to see how their child is progressing.

4 to 6 years
The main focus of the four to five year old classes is still fun, but they learn to make the transition from a pre-school class to recreational gymnastics. Children are taught gymnastics skills on floor, beam, bars, vault, pbars and trampoline in a safe environment. The children do three apparatus each week, so cover 6 pieces every fortnight.

All children experience success and are encouraged to try new skills. Those that have come up through pre-school gymnastics can finish off the pre-school awards and then move on to the British Gymnastics Proficiency Award Scheme.

9.00am – 9.45am Under Threes with parent/carer
9.45am – 10.30am 3 to 5 Years
10.30am – 11.15am 3 to 5 Years
11.15am – 12.00pm 4 to 6 Years

Once children reach the age of 5 (or 6 if they wish to stay on a Saturday) they are able to move into the after school recreational classes.
